Bridging Underwriter London Competitive Salary

Experience required:

• You will have prior experience in loan underwriting within bridging or development finance.
• You ll have the ability to build great rapport and establish strong working relationships with colleagues/brokers/solicitors/customers.
• Strong communication skills are a must as you ll be required to give credible reasoning for considering/declining deals.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel & IT literate with a good ability to adapt to new systems and platforms.

The Bridging Underwriter will be responsible for:

• Reviewing funding applications and proceed through the underwriting process to loan completion.
• Carry out credit/fraud checks.
• Instruct valuation reports/solicitors.
• Administer live cases through to redemption of the loan.
• Liaise with lawyers, surveyors, brokers and borrowers to ensure the loan and due diligence process progresses smoothly.
• Conduct post-completion communication with borrowers to ensure their project is progressing satisfactorily.

Working closely with the Head of Underwriting you will have clear guidance & objectives to progress in your career within underwriting and become a trusted relationship manager within your network.
