A Staff Accountant is responsible for the accounting and reconciliation of the general ledger, homebuilding reporting and tracking, revenue recognition, cash receipts and deposits, month-end reports.

Your Responsibilities on the Team
Assists with month end close
Maintains sound accounting methods and systems in accordance with corporate policies and procedures
Prepares journal entries
Prepare bank account and general ledger reconciliations
Assists in special projects analysis
Oversee reconciliation of suspense account activities
Recording incoming wire transfers and returned items
Ensures accuracy of monthly backlog profitability reports.
Assists in preparation accuracy of weekly reporting requirements
Prepares monthly revenue entries, various month-end accruals, reclass and allocation entries
Runs ESSBASE system on a daily basis during the month end close and intermittently throughout the month to track all overhead expenses for accuracy and to compare to original budges, projections, and forecasts
Runs monthly fixed assets when required.
Prepares commission package for review.
Supports accounts payable activities.
Any other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required or combination of equivalent education and experience.
Minimum of two years general accounting experience required
Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel
JD Edwards experience preferred
Excellent attention to detail

General Overview of Compensation & Benefits:
We reasonably expect the base compensation offered for this position to range from an annual salary of $66,560.00 - $78,857, subject to adjustment based on business-related factors such as employee qualifications, geographic pay differentials (eg, cost of labor/living, etc.), and operational considerations.
