RBT (Behavior Tech) Position Overview:
We're looking for caring, motivated individuals to step into the role of Behavior Technician. Working closely with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll help implement personalized behavior plans and teach essential life skills in home, school, and community settings. As a Behavior Technician, you will be key in providing evidence-based interventions, tracking progress, and helping clients achieve meaningful goals.
RBT (Behavior Tech) Responsibilities:
Follow the Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) created by the BCBA to address the unique needs and goals of each client.
Provide direct, one-on-one instruction to clients using ABA techniques such as discrete trial training (DTT), naturalistic teaching, and behavior management strategies.
Collect and record data on client behavior and progress using designated tools and methods.
Help clients acquire and practice functional skills in areas such as communication, socialization, self-care, and independent living.
Create a supportive, positive environment that promotes client engagement, motivation, and autonomy.
Work closely with the BCBA and team members to review progress and adjust strategies as needed for consistency across environments.
Communicate clearly with clients, families, and team members, providing progress updates and sharing relevant information.
Engage in continuous professional development to enhance ABA skills and knowledge.
RBT (Behavior Tech) Qualifications:
Ability to follow instructions, implement behavior intervention plans, and collect accurate data.
Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel to clients' homes, schools, or other settings.
Commitment to ethical standards, maintaining client confidentiality, and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
