NP-PA-Hospitalist-Part Time-Day Shift- Adult Academic Health Center

We are seeking a patient focused Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team-oriented Hospitalist department at our Academic Health Center in downtown Indianapolis, IN! This position will split between Methodist Hospital & University Hospital, with the opportunity to flex to IU North Hospital and IU West Hospital.

• Part Time, Day Shift
• 2-3 days per week on a 6-week rotating schedule; every 6th weekend
• 5 days on, 2 days off/7 days on, 7 days off
• 75% Inpatient
• 25% Hospital based pre-operative clinic

• Complex patient population
• Role includes coordination of care during daily rounds
• Providing patient and family education
• Assessing patients in the Emergency Department for admission-initiating a workup for diagnosis and implementing a treatment plan.
• Medicine consults for subspecialty services; Co-Management with multiple subspecialty services including Ortho, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, PVS, CVS, GI, Urology, Nephrology, etc.

• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• ACNP, AGNP, FNPO or PA certifications required.
• 1-2 years of Inpatient APP experience strongly preferred.
• If new grad, Inpatient experience as an NP/PA; If NP, would prefer inpatient PCU/critical care nursing experience.
