Data Analyst (BCBS 239) (Contract)

Location: Amsterdam Country: Netherlands
 

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a focus on data lineage, data governance, and regulatory compliance, particularly in alignment with BCBS 239.

This role is essential for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of data used for risk management and regulatory reporting. Working closely with Finance and Data Governance teams, you will be responsible for data lineage analysis, data quality enhancement, and compliance-driven data aggregation processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data lineage maps to support BCBS 239 compliance, ensuring complete traceability for critical reports.
  • Implement data quality checks for critical data elements (CDEs) to enhance accuracy and traceability.
  • Align data aggregation and reporting processes with BCBS 239 principles, working with cross-functional teams to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Utilize data governance tools (eg, Collibra) to support data integrity, consistency, and timeliness, and to maintain high standards of data management.

Your ideal profile:

  • Bachelor's (BSc) or Master's (MSc) degree in a relevant field, with 3-5 years of experience in data management, finance, or risk management.
  • Strong knowledge of data management best practices (eg, DAMA).
  • Experience in data lineage tools (preferably Collibra) and frameworks.
  • Previous experience with regulatory requirements in banking/financial services, ideally with BCBS 239.
  • Analytical mindset with a background eg. banking, finance, risk management, and data modelling.
  • Proven track record as a Data Analyst, specifically with experience in data lineage and regulatory compliance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with finance and risk data reporting frameworks.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
