WFS and Bangalore International Airport Limited ("BIAL") has established a long-term partnership by a Join Venture (JV) to carry out the development, operation, management and maintenance of the International Cargo Terminal and Cold Chain Facility at the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport). The newly established JV entity commenced operations at BLR Airport in 2023.

WFS is looking for a talented and forward-looking IT professional who will be responsible for the delivery of key IT Services for WFS Bengaluru. This position would be ideally suited to a qualified and experienced systems and/or network administrator who is looking to step up to the next level in their career and/or a senior IT Manager who could demonstrate experience in the Indian market.
The WFS IT Manager role reports to the WFS EMEAA IT Director who is based at our global headquarters in Paris, with a service delivery reporting line to the WFS BLR CEO. The candidate will also be a member of Country IT Managers who share the same vision of standardization, reducing complexity, creating business intelligence, and professionalization.
The candidate will have responsibility either directly or indirectly, via internal group or external service partners, for the delivery of the following
IT Infrastructure - PCs, Printers, IP Telephones, handheld scanners, CCTV, access control systems, file-servers, etc.
Networks - LAN, WAN and WiFi
Core business applications (cargo management systems, Office365, document management, time & attendance, etc.)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage solid, stable and reliable IT Operations
Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization (local and global) to develop solutions for IT needs
Lead IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
Manage our telecommunication systems and ensure all offices and remote workers have the necessary systems to facilitate smooth communications
Work with Group IT to ensure the delivery of standardized and consistent IT services
Responsibility for the local IT infrastructure and applications
Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
Develop and maintain the IT Budget in co-operation with Group IT and Finance
Manage relationship with 3rd party service providers, ensuring SLA compliance
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
5-7 years of experience working in IT operations in senior positions
Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases, and phone systems
Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies using multiple suppliers
Experience in aviation/cargo/logistics would be desirable
Experience in India IT environment is a must.

The candidate will have proven skills in managing complex projects and managing internal stakeholders and external suppliers, as well as prioritizing their activities in a rapidly changing environment. The candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to write and present credible business cases for IT investment. The candidate will understand the basics of business finance and be able to exercise cost control and budget for the IT function, as well as monitor the costs and performance of our contracted suppliers

Direct Reports: As last responsible and team leader, the candidate would be leading a group of 4 IT technicians in cooperation with a solid 3rd party service provider to ensure key systems and networks are available during operational hours and bring a system-wide view of fault diagnosis and reporting and liaising with the business
