3. JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Regional Director, South Asia and the Director-FI, South Asia, the Business Analyst shall be a key resource for providing in-depth analysis and analytics to the Regional Global Insights Program Team at Water.org. Woking as an individual contributor, s/he shall be responsible for partner-level analytics and Business Intelligence across multiple business teams (Microfinance Institutions, Banks, MSME, Government Partnerships and Infrastructure) charting trends (disbursement, geographical, capital mobilization etc.) in the region and providing the respective Portfolio Managers, data-driven actionable insights to achieve the regional business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

(A)Analytics and Business Insights:

(1) Serve as the primary point of contact for the Portfolio Management team for partner-level analytical inputs and Business Intelligence enabling partners to make data-backed decisions;

(2) Analyse portfolio trends and performance across dimensions like disbursements, regions covered, products covered etc.;

(3) Collate diverse data sets, both internally provided as well as externally available providing insights and value creation for partners, especially during the growth and maturity stage of Partnership Sustainability over Time (PoST) program.

(B) Portfolio Monitoring:

(1) Conceptualize reports to track key business metrics and engage deeply with various South Asia Regional Portfolio Leads and Global Business Development colleagues to develop dashboards and scorecards;

(2) Support the development of statistical models to project portfolio-performance for business planning;

(3) Help build a data ecosystem in alignment with the organization's business model, processes and data requirements.

(C) Collaboration across Various BUs/Departments/Cross-functions:

(1) Connect and establish credibility with stakeholders and support analytics and intelligence requests across all regional business and support teams;

(2) Support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, creating innovative periodic reports utilizing advanced analytics methods, for the use of Partnership Managers for partner engagement.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualification and Experience:

(1) Applicants must be graduates;

(2) Must have 3-5 years of experience working in product/analytics/business intelligence teams at consulting firms (preferred) or financial institutions (Banks/Microfinance Institutions, etc.);

(3) Knowledge and proficiency in advanced statistical tools with a result-oriented approach;

(4) Advanced proficiency with data manipulation and visualization in Power BI, Tableau, and Excel;

(5) Proficiency with MS Office 365 software and related products;

(5) SQL knowledge is desirable.

5. TRAVEL: Willingness and ability to undertake domestic/international travel up to 10% of the time.

6. COMPENSATION OFFERED:

Gross compensation offered for the position is attractive. The offer made to the selected candidate shall be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and salary history.
