Position Summary
The Head of Recruitment - South Asia is responsible for enabling the development of sales strategies and practice to facilitate delivery of regional enrolment targets and improved return on investment (ROI) for the University. The Head of Recruitment will work collaboratively to implement detailed sub-regional sales strategies and operating plans which are aligned to the University's Marketing & Digital Experience strategy. The role will focus on driving a lean student recruitment funnel and building University market share across South Asia. They will also be responsible for driving improvements in account management and implementation of CRM best practices whilst driving channel development across high schools and direct admit. The role will be a key member of the International Recruitment team, managing a hybrid-working team and engaging closely with university-wide stakeholders based onshore to meet sales targets associated with the recruitment of high-quality students. The Head of Recruitment - South Asia reports to the Head of International Recruitment, has a dotted reporting line into the Managing Director - South Asia, and has four direct reports.
Accountabilities:
Specific accountabilities for this role include:
Responsible for the development and implementation of regional sales strategies and operating plans aligned to the University's Marketing & Digital Experience strategy to achieve regional commencement targets and drive market share improvement.
Lead, manage and develop a geographically dispersed team to enable them to achieve sub regional enrolment targets by faculty, including implementing strategies to correct course as required.
Drive sales operations in line with best practice, including account management strategy for international recruitment agents with a focus on driving enrolment quality, growth and diversity, and improved ROI.
In partnership with the Marketing and Digital Experience Team and Faculties, develop sales and marketing campaigns to strategically distinguish University from competitors and deliver growth within target markets.
Responsible for the delivery of the market and channel development sales strategy to increase the diversity and number of international students, working in partnership with 'feeder' partners including international schools, articulation partners, study abroad organizations and government/industry sponsors.
Lead on pipeline improvements and conversion strategies to benefit global recruitment activities, drive numbers and increase ROI.
Drive effective utilization of the University CRM by the India Sales and Recruitment team ensuring that future student information and key data is entered, stored and effectively used to maximize recruitment, conversion and enrolments across Pathway and degree programs.
Provide expert knowledge and insights into market trends. Share data, insights and competitor intelligence to Faculties and other stakeholders including post-census reviews of regional plans and strategies and ROI analysis on agent performance, exhibitions, activities, and events.
Provide advice to key stakeholders including the Head of International Recruitment, Managing Director - South Asia, Associate Deans International, and other key stakeholders on the development and delivery of the University's regional sales and recruitment operations.
Conduct and report on analysis of sales data in a regular and timely manner, providing key insights for strategic decision making, financial forecasting and student planning.
Review and effectively manage non-genuine student (GSR) risk from markets, ensuring the highest quality genuine students enroll in university programs.
Contribute to the successful operations of the University India Office.

Skills and Experience
Relevant tertiary level qualifications in a business-related discipline with substantial, demonstrated experience in a sales leadership role, preferably within the international higher education sector.
Proven track record of successful performance and sales management including development & performance management of a team to achieve targets across both B2B and direct channels with extensive knowledge of the India higher education market.
Knowledge of sales and account management with experience in shaping strategy and implementing sales plans, including (but not limited to) developing structured processes & metrics, managing timelines and budgets to achieve successful, cost-effective outcomes.
Strong track record in executing conversion and retention strategies through CRM and lead management automation tools.
Experience of identifying and developing sales and engagement strategies and sub-regional plans across multiple markets.
Sound leadership and strong people management skills, with demonstrated experience in managing direct and indirect reports whilst driving sales operating model transformation.
Strong track record in developing best practice around sales operations, embracing technology to improve operating model efficiency and effectiveness.
Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills with a capacity to work effectively within a Matrix structure, with focus on collaborating with and influencing various stakeholders.
Ability to apply judgement, creativity, and flexibility to generate new and innovative ideas and approaches and to solve complex problems.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
An understanding of and commitment to university aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines.
Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
Role Requirements:
This role requires regular periods of travel and may require working flexible hours in order to attend various recruitment events and activities. Also, during operationally critical periods possible annual leave restrictions will apply
