Job Summary:
We are seeking a well networked, prudent and results-oriented Head of Procurement with a track record of successfully procuring construction material across India, both from manufacturers (primary and secondary) and stockists. This leadership role will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive procurement strategy that facilitates enquiry conversion, improves margins, and ensures the timely availability of quality construction material at favorable commercials across India. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills, with a deep understanding of the construction materials and their dynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Leadership:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for steel and other construction materials to align with Brick2Wall's business goals and project requirements.
• Analyze market trends, pricing models, and supply chain dynamics to forecast and plan procurement activities effectively.

Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable steel and other construction material suppliers and vendors across India.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.

Cost Management:

• Prepare comparison Matrix taking inputs from multiple suppliers against an enquiry that help attain cost-effective procurement that maximizes order conversion
• Implement cost-control measures and strategies to optimize procurement expenses without compromising on quality and service delivery levels

Process Improvement:

• Continuously review and refine procurement processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline procurement activities and reduce lead times.

Collaboration and Coordination:

• Work closely with sales teams to understand material requirements and delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with the logistics and supply chain teams to ensure seamless delivery and inventory management

Team Leadership:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.
• Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in procurement of different construction material in an infrastructure company.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Master's degree or professional certification (eg, CPSM, CPP) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of steel and construction materials market dynamics, including pricing trends, supply and demand, and competitive landscape.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
• Proven leadership and team management skills
