- Main Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis:
- Develop, monitor, and evaluate financial plans, forecasts, and budgets to meet business objectives.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue growth.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management to improve f inancial performance. Budgeting and Cost Control:
Prepare and manage the annual budget in collaboration with departmental heads.
Monitor expenditures to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
Implement cost control measures to enhance profitability. Financial Reporting:
Ensure timely preparation of accurate financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for internal and external stakeholders. Compliance and Audit:
Ensure adherence to financial policies, regulatory requirements, and statutory compliance (eg, tax laws, GST, corporate governance).
Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings. Cash Flow and Working Capital Management:
Manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
Optimize working capital by monitoring inventory, receivables, and payable cycles. Strategic Financial Management:
Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives through financial modeling and analysis.
Provide input for pricing strategies, product launches, and promotional campaigns. Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Ensure continuous skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
Systems and Processes:
Enhance and implement financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Other Required Skills:
Proven experience as a Financial Manager.
Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst.
Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
Proficient user of finance software mainly in Oracle modules
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
Professional qualification such as CA or similar will be considered a plus
