Solution Architect-Payments (Contract)
Location: Dublin-sporadic onsite Country: Ireland Rate: EUR600/day outside IR35
Trilogy International are seeking a Payments Solution Architect on behalf of their Banking Client in Dublin.
6 month initial contract
OUTSIDE IR35
sporadic visits onsite (once a month)
Essential:
Experience in one or more of the following payments and banking solutions:
- Digital payment solutions, including SEPA credit transfer, direct-debit, SWIFT international payments, mobile wallet, instant payments.
- E-commerce, ATM/POS and card-based solutions, eg, TSYS, TPII, or equivalent
- Knowledge of digital banking solutions, eg, web/mobile channel integration, mobile wallet solutions, etc.
- Domestic and international payment and inter-bank settlement schemes, eg, VISA, Mastercard, SEPA CT/DD, SEPA instant or equivalent mobile instant payment schemes
- Integration with core accounting banking platforms and ancillary banking applications, including payment processing exception handling, recalls, settlement and reconciliation.
- Enterprise integration solutions, including MQ/File based, REST/JSON, XML/XSD, APIs, event-streaming platforms, micro service-based integration, etc.
- Knowledge or understanding of one or more of the following banking related integration standards: eg, BIAN, UK Open Banking, ISO-20022, SEPA, etc. A solid understanding of compliance requirements in the payments space, including PSD2, Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), dynamic linking etc. o A knowledge of OAUTH based authentication solutions and integration into payment flows, eg, to support SCA to protect online payment processing.

- Relevant certification in Architectural Frameworks (eg, TOGAF, CITA-F), or equivalent work experience, ie, minimum 7 years' experience across multiple IT roles with a minimum of 3 years Architecture practice experience in a large organisation (preferably financial services).
- Strong stakeholder management skills & ability to manage internal & external relationships is essential Influencing and negotiation skills, plus excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired
- Integration of core banking platforms and ancillary banking applications, including (among others): Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence, Fraud system integration, General Ledger, Regulatory and MI reporting, Document production; Content Management, etc.
- Experience in integrating Cloud native deployments & solutions, including Kubernetes, Kafka, Mulesoft, API gateway, etc.
- A knowledge of one or more modern architecture patterns and related technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Mulesoft, NoSQL databases, cloud architectures (Azure or AWS)
- A knowledge of enterprise delivery automation tooling and processes
- Technology Risk Management and Architecture governance
- Experience or competency in project management and delivery, would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of trends and innovations that are occurring in technology solutions.
