Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer - Security Clearance Eligible - Oxfordshire UK (Hybrid)
Lynx is working with a leading space technology company is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Spacecraft Systems Engineer to join their dynamic and rapidly growing team at their state-of-the-art facility in Oxfordshire UK.
Responsibilities:
- Develop spacecraft mission and system design, including requirements derivation and CONOPS definition
- Perform mission analysis and modelling of spacecraft missions
- Trade-off and control platform systems budgets (mass, power, data, fuel)
- Produce mission-level test and verification plans, FMECA, FTA, and FDIR
- Perform rapid feasibility studies into different scenarios and architectures
- Assist with bid work, providing technical solutions and documentation
- Maintain configuration control of systems work and documentation
- Work with and guide a multi-disciplined team in the delivery of projects
Requirements:
- Right to Work in UK and Eligible for a Security Clearance application (Mandatory)
- Diploma, bachelor's, or master's degree in systems engineering, electrical engineering, or another relevant discipline
- At least 10+ years of commercial experience in a Systems Engineering role for satellite platform architecture
- Knowledge of the systems and project engineering life cycle from requirements definition through to verification
- Experience in mission and systems architecture definition and CONOPS
- Good knowledge of various subsystems & engineering teams
- Experience in the development of systems engineering documentation
- Awareness of the AIT process: manufacture, assembly, functional and environmental testing
- Basic knowledge in areas such as debris removal, end-of-life, in-orbit maintenance or servicing
