Hayward Hawk are currently recruiting for a Lead ML Engineer for their industry leading client.
This is a very exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in driving the implementation of advanced analytics.
The Role:
- Serve as a subject-matter expert in machine learning, fintech, and RegTech, providing strategic technical insights and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Participate in troubleshooting and managing production incidents, using root-cause analysis to recognize issue patterns and implement proactive solutions.
- Engage in agile ceremonies and foster continuous improvement through constructive feedback in code reviews, both internally and externally.
- Mentor and support team members, encouraging skill development and best practices across teams.
- Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to define and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable features in a fast-paced environment.
- Utilize tools like JIRA to effectively manage tasks through their lifecycle and prioritize project workflows.
- Develop advanced solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams, integrating multiple software products to address complex challenges.
- Break down intricate technical concepts into simple, practical abstractions that are easy for others to understand.
- Actively troubleshoot and resolve critical issues, including performance, security, and scalability challenges.
- Influence design processes by collaborating with Principal Engineers and Product Managers, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
- Take the lead on establishing, promoting, and maintaining best practices to drive consistency and excellence within the team.
Requirements:
- Proficient in Java with additional experience in Python.
- Extensive experience in building AI/ML-based analytics products for the FinTech and RegTech sectors.
- Expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP), ML-Ops, and data pipeline management.
- Hands-on experience with ML frameworks and libraries, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, and data analysis methods.
- Strong skills in data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Skilled in cloud platforms, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud.
- Experienced in working with model serving technologies like Triton Inference Server.
- Knowledgeable in containerized environments, including Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in developing scalable ML applications and services on the cloud.
- Proficient in microservices and event-driven architectures.
- Familiar with Kafka, relational databases (RDBMS) like MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Skilled in API design and development for robust system integration.
- Proficient in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools, including Bamboo and Argo CD.
- Experienced in Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and observability.
- Skilled in using Amazon SageMaker and Jupyter Notebooks for model development and experimentation.
- Proficient in working with distributed systems and large-scale data processing.
