Technical Project Manager - Generative AI

Rate: £700-£800 per day Inside IR35

Length: 12 months

Location: Canary Wharf (Office 3 days a week)

We're seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead Generative AI initiatives at a leading global financial institution. This strategic role will leverage cutting-edge GenAI capabilities to drive transformative enterprise-wide initiatives.

What You'll Do:

• Lead complex, large-scale GenAI projects that align with enterprise strategy
• Provide technical leadership in GenAI technologies, including architectural decisions and implementation best practices
• Partner with stakeholders across the organization to define scope, track ROI, and ensure successful adoption
• Develop comprehensive project plans using PMO methodologies to deliver within budget and timeline
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks while maintaining project momentum
• Drive clear communication of project status, milestones, and challenges to all stakeholders
• Lead problem resolution by coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring proper issue closure
• Establish and maintain project management best practices
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high ethical standards

What You'll Need:

• 6-10 years of project management experience in technology-focused environments
• Strong technical background in software development, data science, or machine learning
• Hands-on experience with GenAI technologies and cloud-based AI services
• Proficiency with modern programming languages and development frameworks
• PMP certification (strongly preferred); Six Sigma certification is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field required; Master's degree preferred
• Proven track record of stakeholder management and project delivery
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies
• Strong understanding of current industry trends in AI/ML
