Procurement IT Vendor Manager - Trading Technology - City (Permanent)
Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £90k - £115k per annum
McGregor Boyall Procurement are looking to make a strategic hire for one of our market leading FS clients; experience of Banking & Financial Markets will be essential for this role.
Based near to Leadenhall Market in the city, you will be required to work in a hybrid capacity up to 3 days per week.
The role purpose:
You will ensure that the IT supply chain is managed efficiently by managing cost, quality and risk from overall Group IT spend. The successful individual will collaborate closely with a range of other departmental managers and senior stakeholders, primarily IT & Tech, Legal and Finance.
The role encompasses 3 distinct areas of responsibilities:
Sourcing and procurement of products and services, Vendor management & Service management.
Responsibilities:
Work within the policies and plans set out by the current board, contributing to the development, and ongoing workings of Group policies.
- Assess cost & value across all third-party IT spending activities,
- Management of core IT categories - hardware, software, professional services
- Work with IT & Digital to assess Vendor performance
- Work with other stakeholders, representing the IT procurement, vendor & service management function.
To obtain an immediate interview, the successful post-holder will possess the following level of knowledge and experience:
- Over Ten years in IT procurement, with experience as an IT procurement or category manager, is the benchmark
- Experience in running competitive tenders and contract negotiations
- Legal experience, especially with a background in technology contracts
- Strong exposure to completing value added procurement programmes
- Good understanding of complex banking & trading software licence & managed service agreements
- Excellent negotiation skills for large and complex IT procurement agreements.
- Knowledge of IT products and services.
- Understands financial management, contracts and legal issues
