Security Engineer - Birmingham

Onsite two days per week onsite - £56,000 + 20% flex fund

Security Engineer for a leading client based in Birmingham. My client is currently seeking a Security Engineer to come on board to be tasked with spearheading the advancement of security architecture and procedures to integrate the strategic application of security-related modifications throughout the clients systems and solutions.

This position takes ownership of the security domain architecture and supervises the design of the clients security systems. It establishes relevant design parameters, standards, and policies to direct the development and deployment of products and platforms across the client.

Key skills:

• Strong Security Engineering experience
• Proficiency in industry frameworks and best practices (eg, NCSC CAF, CIS CSC, etc.)
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the design of intricate solutions, including identifying risks and implementing remedies
• Track record of supervising high-level designs for significant solutions, managing design requirements, and maintaining an auditable trail for design control processes
• Experience in defining intricate technical models and effectively communicating them to stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Successful application of Security Architecture methodologies and approaches to complex scenarios
• Familiarity with working in multi-vendor environments
• Capability to facilitate and advise on risk-based decisions
• Experience addressing the security implications of transformation initiatives and routine product changes
• Proficiency in working with system architectures, with a keen awareness of the diverse impact vulnerabilities can have on various systems
