Job Description: We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to play a key role in supporting delivery of the technical roadmap during a time of digital change and transformation.
In this role, you will:
- Implement new software programs
- Integrate software components and third-party programs (Back End development)
- Provide technical recommendations regarding technology and solutions
- Recommend and execute improvements
- Create technical-level documentation
- Work as part of a Scrum team and provide regular updates
Core Requirements:
- Java 17 proficiency (will consider Java 8 onwards)
- Proficiency in Spring Boot
- Familiarity with Docker
- Test-Driven Development
- Knowledge of Web API/Web Service
- Proficiency in SQL (design, development, and performance monitoring)
- Experience with Continuous Development and Deployment processes
- Source control experience (GIT or equivalent)
- Ability to set out code and development standards
Nice to have:
- Experience with Azure DevOps sprint management
- Familiarity with automated testing processes and strong problem-solving skills
- Understanding of the Scrum development life cycle
- Experience with GraphQL
- Experience guiding a small team of developers
- Familiarity with the Play framework
