Production Technician (Permanent)

Location: Kidlington Country: UK Rate: £31200 per annum
 

iO Associates has partnered with a cutting-edge cellular analysis technology company, with a focus developing and maintaining new innovative approach for manufacturing using hi-tech techniques. This position requires the production technician with attention to details and good communication to work in manufacturing environment using Laser processing equipment, FPC bonding, lens lamination equipment, wet chemistry equipment and support product preparation and packaging operations.

Production Technician

Kidlington, Oxford (UK)

Salary upto £31,200 per annum.

Shift Timings:
Early shift 6am till 2.30pm

Late shift 2.30pm till 11.30 pm.

Lunch break (30min) not paid. 2x 10 min tea breaks paid.

40 hours a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring agreed Production Output Targets are met by way of lean Manufacturing in specific areas highlighted above.
  • Help to maintain ISO:7 Cleanroom Standards and Protocols within the Bio Sensor/Touch Panel Manufacturing Environment during Operations.
  • Share responsibility in maintaining up-time and optimisation on key Production Equipment ie Inkjet; Laser; Screen Printing; Wet Chemistry; Glass Cutting; Lamination and Bonding utilising the Positrol Techniques and providing timely feedback to Equipment Engineering when necessary.
  • Participate in ensuring all In-process Quality Standards are maintained, helping in Internal Audit Plans and data records ( Batch Route Cards] compliant to existing ISO 9001: 2015 accreditation.
  • Process Control Monitoring using: Microscopy, Electrical Testing, full IPQC and Six Sigma Methodologies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience of working within a Team Production - line environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce
  • Good communication and skills, both written and oral
  • Strong appreciation for the importance of compliant Quality Systems
  • Strong sense of task ownership and responsibility to meet the set output targets.
  • Enthusiastic to increase knowledge and develop new skills
  • Willing to undertake repetitive tasks
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work within a fast moving and dynamic environment.
  • Computer literate
  • Interest in Technology and Products

Qualification:

  • Certification in English/Maths and Scientific disciplines a benefit.
