Functional Tester (SC Cleared) (Permanent)
Location: London (hybrid) Country: UK
 

We are looking for a SC Cleared Functional Tester for one of our client in London Location.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough manual functional testing of software applications to ensure that they meet the specified requirements and quality standards
  • Create detailed test cases, test plans, and other testing documentation
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand the requirements and functionalities of the software being tested
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard testing tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar tools
  • Execute automated tests regularly and analyze the test results for any discrepancies or issues
  • Identify, log, and track defects using appropriate defect tracking tools and follow up on bug fixes with the development team
  • Participate in requirement and design reviews to ensure testability and identify potential areas for automation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that testing activities are aligned with project schedules and deadlines
  • Continuously update and improve testing processes, methodologies, and test scripts to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing activities
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in functional and automation testing

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Functional and Automation Tester or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Proficiency in developing and executing automation test scripts using industry-standard testing tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar tools
  • Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools, such as JIRA or Bugzilla

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB or similar certifications
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Knowledge of programming languages, such as Java or Python
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment tools, such as Jenkins or Bamboo
