Purchase Ledger Assistant - Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm, Up to £25,000, Generous holidays allowance

Your new Company: Our client is a growing SME, operating in the media production and retail sector. They have been established for over twenty years, and have experienced substantial growth, becoming highly reputable in their specialist field.
Your new role: They are looking to appoint a new purchase ledger assistant, whose role would be to support the purchase ledger manager with their day-to-day administration of the finance department. Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain the AP inbox daily.
  • Receive and administer incoming invoices/purchase orders.
  • Examine supplier invoices and address any queries.
  • Run weekly and monthly Bacs (payment) processes.
  • Raise credit notes for returned stock.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal buyers regarding payments and queries
  • Manage the company's expense administration
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable Ledger in readiness for year-end as well as supplier statements
  • Day-to-day bookkeeping using Dynamics 365 Business Central and MS Excel.
  • Efficiently manage high volume tasks like sorting, filing and archiving.
  • The ability to undertake any other reasonable duties to assist the Purchase Ledger Manager in providing comprehensive financial services.
  • What you will need to succeedAs an ideal candidate, you will have:
    • Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Purchase ledger/Accounts payable.
    • An ability to demonstrate excellent IT skills, particularly the use of Microsoft Office, is essential.
    • The ability to work effectively in a team and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Be a highly organised individual, who can prioritise and manage a busy workload.
    • Attention to detail and proven accounting and financial skills are also essential.
    • Experience of using Dynamics 365 business central would be advantageous.
