Credit Controller

Hays Accountancy & Finance are working with a commercial and fast-paced South Lincolnshire company looking for a Credit Controller.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for over 200 accounts ensuring regular debt-chasing and successful, targetted debt recovery. You will be able to provide daily updates and credit analysis for the Directors of this family-owned SME. The role is a stand-alone credit control position, so you will manage your own workload and targets using calls, letters, emails. You will also make decisions about accounts to go on stop and advise on any pre-litigation clients.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have recent and relevant credit control skills gained in a fast-paced commercial organisation. You will be self-motivated and self-reliant and have exceptional debt recovery skills and be used to dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will be organised and be able to provide clear, up-to-date and concise reports about the credit status of accounts and customers. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as strong IT and Microsoft Office skills. You will be living within commutable distance of South Lincolnshire as the role is office based (suitable commute from Nottingham, Lincoln, Grantham, Sleaford, Leicester, Melton Mowbray and Newark).
