DevOps Engineering - Subject Matter Expert Services (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £700/day
 

Our Client seeks a DevOps engineer to enhance its operational efficiency by optimizing its existing workflows, repositories, images, namespaces, and related infrastructure.

Main Responsibilities:

- Conduct thorough analysis to identify root causes of existing issues within workflow files and Helm charts.
- Rectify discrepancies in deployment code within GitHub repositories, leveraging senior-level expertise where required.
- Implement new requirements and enhancements to optimize existing workflows and infrastructure.
- Configure and establish GitHub Workflows for streamlined building of images/packages and seamless deployment of containers, with a preference for senior experience in setup.
- Manage image repository within JFrog for efficient storage and distribution of Docker images and Python packages.
- Facilitate deployment processes into a Kubernetes Cluster, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
- Configure and set up Skipper-Ingress for authentication and reverse Proxy functionalities, enhancing security and access control.
- Integrate solutions seamlessly into Azure App Registration, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with existing systems and processes.

Deliverables:

- Comprehensive Helm charts and templates reflecting optimized deployment configurations.
- Streamlined workflow YAML files ensuring efficiency and reliability.

Required Skills:

- Proficiency in DevOps principles and CI/CD methodologies.
- Extensive experience with GitHub workflows for version control and collaboration.
- Expertise in Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.
- Proficient in Python programming language for automation and Scripting tasks.
- Familiarity with JFrog platform for artifact management and distribution.
- Knowledge of Skipper Ingress for efficient routing and load balancing in Kubernetes environments.

This is an initial 6 month contract opportunity that can be fully remote
