Commercial Finance Manager - Bicester - £65,000

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager role with a dynamic and growing organisation based in Bicester. This position offers a competitive salary of up to £65,000 and is primarily onsite.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for developing and executing the local finance strategy, supporting the overall business plan, and working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team. Your key areas of focus will include local management reporting, financial analysis, and operational support.
Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with the Managing Director to draft, develop, and implement local strategies.
  • Overseeing finance functions, including accounting, payroll, and auditing.
  • Working closely with department leads to prioritising and managing budgets and developments.
  • Ensuring smooth information flow and contributing to the overall business operations.
  • Providing local management reporting and support, including financial recommendations and input for bi-monthly Townhall meetings.
  • Developing and analysing strategy-driven KPIs.
  • Enhancing finance processes, including automation and controls.
Group Level Activities:
  • Completing month-end reporting for the Group.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate group and local finance reporting, including tax and annual reports.
  • Participating in relevant global functional teams.
Local Level Operations:
  • Leading the annual audit process.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely regulatory and management reporting.
  • Managing the payroll system.
  • Handling credit control, including chasing outstanding payments and liaising with debt recovery.
  • Performing weekly bank reconciliations.
  • Managing petty cash for both sites.
  • Processing monthly expenses.
  • Maintaining statutory records.
  • Overseeing day-to-day financial transactions.
  • Managing all aspects of cash management.
  • Providing sales and pricing support for key accounts.
  • Leading planning activities, including forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ensuring continuous professional development and training for team members.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounts packages.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues, corporate customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally.
  • A polite and professional manner.
  • An accounting qualification is desirable, although candidates with sufficient experience (QBE) will also be considered.
