Location: Hybrid, Hampshire, UK - up to 2 days per week.

Client - Partnered with a leading high-tech organisation in the UK.

Role - This is a great opportunity for an Resource Manager to play a key role on both internal and external strategic projects and programmes to enhance the agility and efficiency of their operations. The Resource Management Office is at the heart of my client's strategy ensuring the optimal allocation of their skilled workforce to various projects aligning with their business and people strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Tactical Resource Management: Oversee the strategic allocation of personnel to projects balancing performance client satisfaction and team morale.
  • Onboarding and Mobilization: Ensure a smooth transition for new hires integrating them into projects promptly to enhance productivity and employee experience.
  • Performance Management: Maximize productive and customer-funded utilization addressing and rectifying issues related to resource underutilization.
  • Capacity Management: Serve as the pivotal link between capacity planning and operational teams ensuring a balance between resource demand and supply.
  • Cross-Directorate Optimization: Facilitate the mobility of staff across different business units to optimize resource utilization and project outcomes.
  • Planning & Forecasting: Assist in the development and execution of short to medium-term capacity plans ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Strategic Resource Planning: Act as the primary contact for complex resourcing strategies including the integration of various staffing solutions to meet project demands.
Key Skills:
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in operational resourcing within a professional services or matrixed organization preferably within the technology sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing resources in areas such as Software Development, Cybersecurity, AI & ML, Data Science and Systems Engineering.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and often ambiguous requirements providing strategic resourcing solutions.
  • Recognised as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in operational resourcing with a track record of influencing and leading strategic resourcing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Resource Management tools and technologies with a preference for experience in tools such as Profinda Kantata Retain or similar.
  • Familiarity with dash boarding tools like PowerBI is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications including MS Teams.
  • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset leveraging Management Information to inform decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills capable of building relationships at all levels and effectively influencing and challenging key decisions.
  • High level of resilience and assertiveness with the ability to drive compliance and governance across resourcing processes.
  • Strategic thinker able to bridge operational tactics with broader business strategies.
Salary - Dependent on experience

Location - Hybrid, Hampshire, UK - 1 to 2 days per week.
