SC Cleared DevOps SystemAdmin Engineer - Must have RKE2 and Linux Experience
Clearance: Must be SC Cleared and a British Citizen
Location: Remote/Hybrid (with occasional travel to client sites)
Duration: 3-6 months
Start Date: ASAP - Subject to clearances being confirmed
Pay Rate: £650 per day, this role has been determined as inside IR35.
To be eligible you must be a British Citizen and hold an active SC clearance
Role Overview
Triad Group Plc is seeking a highly skilled DevOps SystemAdmin Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. You will be working on behalf of Triad for one of our clients within the Blue Light sector, it is a technical enabling project to deploy Kubernetes across their estate: public cloud/private cloud, both low side and high side. You must have proven experience of RKE2 and Linux/RedHat Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the team and client fully understand operational needs, sharing responsibility for the design and implementation of infrastructure to support software services
- Discover and leverage automation possibilities that add business value
- Bring extensive experience in large-scale CI/CD and source code implementations
- Involve in troubleshooting activities to solve technical challenges
- Monitor progress on projects and provide technical direction as needed
- Develop effective working relationships with development teams and with Third Party suppliers
- Work effectively within an Agile framework
- Create and maintain lightweight systems documentation
- Mentor junior team members
Required Skills & Experience

- SUSE RKE2 Gov Kubernetes clusters
- SUSE Rancher Kubernetes management
- SUSE Longhorn persistent storage
Highly Desirable:
- AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
- Experience with different Container Network Interface (CNI) plugins (pros, cons)
- K8s Logging solutions
- K8s Monitoring solutions

- Experience of different types of persistent storage types (pros, cons)
