Hours: 37hr week, Mon-Thurs 8.00 4.30 Fri 8.00-1.00 Overtime often available

Wage: Dependant on skill and experience to £38k Salary

Job description:

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and qualified In-process Inspector to take control of all aspects of quality control from material supply through thorough checking off in-process inspection, to final delivery along with a disciplined and hands on approach to dimensional inspection. The role will involve customer and supplier liaison, management of NCR s & development of corrective/preventative actions in line with ISO 9001 standards and recommended actions for development and improvement of our systems and procedures.

The key responsibilities include:

  • In-Process inspection (During Manufacture)
  • Use of Programmable and Manual CMM inspection
  • Upkeep, Maintenance and calibration of Metrology gauges and equipment to ISO 9001
  • Overseeing goods in/out inspection
  • Raising and investigating NCRs with implementation of corrective/preventive measures
  • Presentation of KPI statistics for monthly review
  • Maintenance of ISO 9001 accreditation as it relates to the Production and inspection

Key skills and experience:

  • Ideally you will be an experienced CNC Machinist/programmer with an Inspection background.
  • You will be able to demonstrate and pass on your skills and experience of quality inspection.
  • You will be fully familiar with, and have experience of working within an ISO 9001 environment.
  • You will be able to work well in a team environment and have the necessary people skills to develop and improve the quality culture of the business, having confidence and a discerning judgment on when to raise issues, improvements.
  • You will have good communication skills both internally and to outside agencies by telephone/email etc
  • Reporting to the Managing Director you will be supporting the production team striving for 100% quality.
