Hays Senior Finance are supporting a leading business in the Worcestershire area with the recruitment of a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. Our client is a well-established provider of recruitment and training solutions to the aviation sector and is recognised on a global scale with operations spanning the UK, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.
Your new role
Reporting into the Financial Controller and working as part of a friendly, close-knit team, you will be responsible for leading the month-end process for two of their subsidiary companies.
Main duties:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Production of budgets, forecasts, cashflows and statutory accounts
• Communication of business performance and investigation of results to senior management
• Provide insightful analysis to assist in business decision-making
• Understand and apply multi-currency discipline to transactions/reconciliations/reporting
• Manage the process of monitoring systems and process compliance across the business
• Recommend improvements to financial control systems
• Support across treasury, forex management and tax positions
• Develop and support junior team members when required

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant actively studying towards your qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience of preparing monthly management accounts with supporting analysis
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with a keen willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
• Passion for generating efficiencies through system streamlining
• Advanced Excel skills and proficient with accounting packages (Exchequer and Abacus highly desirable but not essential)
