Project Manager (Contract)

Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire Country: UK Rate: £410 - £475 per day + Inside IR35
 

Our client, a world-leading IT services contractor, is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team for a contract with a top UK bank. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering key IT projects within the banking sector.

Key Details:
Day Rate: Up to £475 per day inside IR35.
Location: Commute required to Northampton 2 days a week (mandatory).
Contract Length: 6 to 12 months.

Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage infrastructure projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and timeline constraints.
* Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
* Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, task assignment, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
* Communicate project status updates, milestones, and key deliverables to stakeholders, senior management, and project teams.
* Ensure compliance with project management methodologies, best practices, and quality standards.
* Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and methodologies.



Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Infrastructure Project Manager, preferably within the IT services or banking industry.
* Recent experience working with enterprise-level IT services clients is essential.
* Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Flexibility to commute to Northampton 2 days a week (mandatory).
