Business Analyst (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £500 per day
 
Technical Business Analyst
PAYE Agency worker contract
Hybrid - 3 days in the London office per week

Payments start up role, as a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between our technical teams and business stakeholders. You will be responsible for analysing complex business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure successful implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical acumen, business savvy, and exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document detailed business requirements related to international payments solutions.
  • Technical Analysis: Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical specifications, ensuring alignment with architectural guidelines and development best practices.
  • Solution Design: Work closely with software architects and development teams to design innovative solutions that address complex business challenges and enhance our payments platform.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization within existing systems and processes, driving efficiency and scalability.
  • Data Analysis: Perform in-depth data analysis to extract valuable insights, inform decision-making, and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans, conduct thorough testing, and ensure the quality and reliability of implemented solutions.
  • Documentation: Create clear and comprehensive documentation including functional specifications, technical designs, and user guides to facilitate seamless knowledge transfer and support ongoing maintenance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate for their needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in the financial services or payments industry.
  • Strong understanding of international payments processes, including SWIFT, SEPA, ACH, and other payment protocols.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with experience in SQL and data visualization tools (eg, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment with a high degree of autonomy and initiative.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across different time zones and cultures.
