Security Operation Incident Manager (Contract)

Location: City of London Country: UK Rate: £700 - £800 per day + Inside IR35
 

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Incident Manager to join their dynamic Cyber Security product group. This role is centred around cyber security incident management and security operations technologies, delivering enterprise security services across the organisation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an inclusive environment that values collaboration, commitment, and understanding. What you'll do:

As a Security Incident Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing cyber security incidents while also driving the development of identity governance and privileged access processes. You will collaborate closely with various teams including Vulnerability Specialists, Product Owners, and Product Architects to enhance the Operations Centre function within Cyber Security. Your role will also involve creating an interconnected community of inter-departmental security operations teams and product groups. Furthermore, you will provide valuable input into the design and implementation of new enterprise security products, services, policies, and procedures. Your expertise will be crucial in coaching and guiding the Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) Product Groups and wider DTI Security community.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for security operations technologies, driving the development and continual improvement of identity governance and privileged access processes.
  • Coordinate the life cycle of security incidents, ensuring outcomes align with business priorities and policy.
  • Work collaboratively with Vulnerability Specialist, Product Owner and Product Architect in driving forward the Operations Centre function within Cyber Security.
  • Create a community of inter-departmental security operations teams and product groups.
  • Consult with Cyber Security colleagues on the design and implementation of new enterprise security products, services, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI) Product Groups and wider DTI Security community.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Security Incident Manager position brings a wealth of experience in cyber security tools and applications. You are familiar with multiple cloud providers and security suites, and are willing to obtain SC Clearance. Your CISSP or CISM certification attests to your technical knowledge and expertise in the field. You have a solid understanding of Security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, and are adept at applying this knowledge in various technical environments. Your experience in Security Incident Management principles, tools, processes, and procedures will be invaluable in this role. Furthermore, you have a proven track record of coaching others to improve their security knowledge and skills.

  • Access to a wide range of innovative cyber security tools and applications.
  • Experience with multiple cloud providers and security suites.
  • Willingness to obtain SC Clearance.
  • CISSP or CISM certification.
  • Good understanding of Security frameworks such as NIST, CIS.
  • Technical security knowledge relevant to architecture, environments, platforms, software industry and business practices.
  • Demonstrable experience of Security Incident Management principles, tools, processes, and procedures.
