Product Manager, Embedded, Agile, Automotive, Qualitative, Quantitative research (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £600 - £650 INSIDE IR35
 

Embedded Product Manager is required to work on a 6 monthly rolling contract inside IR35. The Embedded product manager would ideally come from an automotive background however, this isn't essential. The Embedded product manager would come from a tech B2B background - environment and possess a minimum of 5 years Embedded product management experience. The Embedded Product Manager would have the following skills and experience and be ready to commence the contract immediately.

We are seeking an Embedded Car Product Manager consultant to join our team. We are a small team focused on delivering the best of our clients' offerings into cars. Our responsibility is broad, with relationships with automotive companies on a global scale. You will work closely with engineering, design, and business development to identify new automotive opportunities, prioritize and unblock delivery work, and optimize the in-car experience for future partners and platforms.

Who you are

Direct Automotive experience is not essential, but experience working in a tech related B2B environment would be highly beneficial.
You have (5+) experience with agile development methodology as a product manager.
Experience in setting and executing on a product backlog; balancing innovations with short and long-term goals.
Highly capable of formulating and communicating product vision and strategy, whether it be to your team or to senior partners.
Familiarity with using both Qualitative and Quantitative research
Although you are not a technical expert you can understand technical limitations and make investment decisions based on ROI and Total cost of ownership.

What you'll do

THINK IT:
Shape the squads priorities and maintain focus on the work items that matter most to the product and the business.
Work directly with partners Partner with stakeholders across the business to define and develop new partner/platform opportunity assessments that supports the current and future strategy.
Onboard new partners and/or new platforms to our client, representing Product with understanding and empathy for the Automotive space.
Own the short, medium and long term execution from start to finish.
Keep an eye on emerging technologies, and assess their relevance to the Embedded automotive products, our client´s developers and our end-users.

BUILD & SHIP IT:
Understand the desires of our partners, build use cases around those desires and translate those use cases into product definitions and stories in a prioritized backlog.
Understand, partake in and discuss the architecture and technical decisions made in the team.
Support the engineering team and our partners with defect resolution and prioritization.

TWEAK IT:
Monitor, summarize, and report feedback from the user base, as well as media and industry comments or feedback.
Manage end of product life cycle, whether decisions require reinvestment, transitioning to maintenance or product retirement.
Support the squad in constantly learning and improving their ways of working together.

RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION
Develop relationships across the company and with external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.
Working closely with other squads, looking for opportunities to improve their everyday tasks.
Partner with engineering to align strategy with technology.
Clearly communicate the vision, plans, objectives and performance measures and progress against plans to all stakeholders - tailoring communication as appropriate to ensure relevance to the audience.
