Housing Standards Manager (Contract)

Location: Merseyside Country: UK Rate: £55 per hour
 

Panoramic Associates is currently working with a local authority in North West England to recruit a Housing Standards Manager, ensuring compliance with legislation and improving housing conditions.

Title: Housing Standards Manager

Location: Merseyside UK

Type: Contract for 6 months initially

Salary: Up to £55/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Housing Standards services, ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with statutory duties.
  • Oversee programme management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Represent the organization on regional housing standards issues and investment opportunities.
  • Lead strategic projects to address housing challenges and optimize housing stock usage.
  • Engage with partners to secure resources and deliver investment programs.
  • Provide expert advice and support on housing standards to stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement information systems for performance monitoring.
  • Lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring staff are supported and developed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant housing, environmental health, or building qualification.
  • Thorough understanding of housing legislation and regeneration issues.
  • Extensive experience in private sector housing regeneration and management.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience in managing complex enforcement actions and budgets.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent in Environmental Health, Housing Regeneration, or related discipline.
  • Management qualification or training.
