IT Project Manager (18 Months FTC) (Contract/Permanent)

Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Country: UK Rate: £53,000 to £55,000 per annum + Bonus, Benefits

ECITB is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead their largest transformation project in over a decade. This is a two-year, large budget initiative to implement new exam, registration and authentication systems while integrating multiple software suppliers. The successful candidate will have experience managing complex IT projects, with proven skills in agile methodologies, lean processes, and system integration (essential). This role is fully remote but requires occasional UK travel (including London). Salary of £53k-£55k plus £7,965 car allowance. This is an 18 month Fixed-Term Contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by helping the UK achieve its net-zero emissions targets through skills transformation in the engineering and construction sectors. ECITB prides itself on its diverse, flexible culture and this role presents a chance to help lead substantial organisational change.

Key role responsibilities include:
. Establish user requirements for the set of capabilities to allow the transformation, identifying and managing all key stakeholders across the set of systems and services.
. Ensuring resource availability and allocation to support successful completion of project activities, continually managing and communicating a realistic plan through to 2026 to allow successful implementation of the infrastructure renewal while managing the ongoing risk to reputation in the Engineering Construction Industry (ECI).
. Provide financial management for the project budget in conjunction with the department's governance, tracking, analysing and managing project risk, aligning project risks with strategic risk management, work mitigation activities and escalate through governance as required.

Requirements overview:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for collaboratively planning the project timeline and tasks with a core team of business analysts, data specialists and subject matter experts.
Strong stakeholder management abilities are a must, as navigating ECITB's extensive network of internal and external parties across the engineering and construction industries will be critical to success. Experience working with employers, training providers and other organisations in the sector would be highly valued, but not essential.

In return you can expect to receive a competitive salary in the region of £53,000 to £55,000 plus £7,965 car allowance and the following:

. 25 days holiday per year.
. Contributory Defined Contribution pension scheme. Employee contributions range from 4.5% to 8.5% of salary. Company contributions are matched.
. Home office set up fund available in first 3 months of service - up to £250.
. Appraisal and development scheme.
. Organisational bonus scheme normally available (non-consolidated)
