The role will be full time from September 2024. The school is happy to offer either a permanent contract or a 1 year fixed term contract.

The Role of Food Technology Teacher:

• Planning and delivering dynamic and engaging lessons that align with the curriculum
• Providing students with practical hands-on experiences in the school's fully equipped food technology facilities
• Promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and experimentation
• Assessing and providing constructive feedback on student work to facilitate their progress and achievement
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and resources
• Monitoring student progress and communicating effectively with parents and caregivers

The Ideal Applicant:

• Hold a teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) and QTS
• Have strong subject knowledge and a passion for food and nutrition
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be strong in behaviour management, facilitating the best learning environments in the classroom
• Hold an enhanced working with children DBS or the ability to apply for one through us
