Audio Visual Engineer (Contract)

Our client is a not-for-profit volunteer-led movement that connects those who have kindness to share, with the people who need it most. They help people in crisis get the support they need anywhere in the UK and around the world.

Key Essential Skills:

  • Must have hands-on experience maintaining and operationally managing Miracast operational needs.
  • VTC: experience setting up video, microphones, speakers and communication tools
  • POLY; Configuration and setting up meeting room environments
  • 5-7 years experience of Audio and video systems such as Cisco/Webex, Zoom, Crestron, MS Teams

Desirable Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work effectively with a wide range of design, construction, and technology specialists
  • Good understanding of network technologies and security concepts
  • Able to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and complete tasks on time
  • Able to quickly adapt to new technical concepts and tools
  • Strong customer focus and able to communicate optimally with personnel at all levels (staff to executive)
  • Excellent hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Personal sense of accountability

Overview:

Our client has a need for a AV engineer to help diagnose and fix all problems around their already installed Miracast software. Reporting back to the Head of Service Delivery, you'll need to be able to work onsite alongside the internal IT team to understand the root cause issue and implement the fix, moreover report back to internal stakeholders on the issues found and resolved.

Roles and responsabilities:

  • Responsible for diagnosing and fixing all problems related to the installed Miracast software.
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining and operationally managing Miracast operational needs.
  • Operationally manage Miracast software to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Configure and set up meeting room environments using POLY equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively work with a wide range of specialists and stakeholders.
  • Quickly adapt to new technical concepts and tools as required.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and communicate optimally with personnel at all levels, from staff to executives.
  • Demonstrate excellent hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Report back to the Head of Service Delivery and internal stakeholders on the issues found and resolved.

This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of audiovisual systems, particularly the Miracast software, within the organization, enabling effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
