Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Engineer with expertise in Microsoft security solutions and a solid understanding of a variety of other security products. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing security measures to protect the organization's information assets, focusing on Microsoft security tools such as Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 Security. Your responsibilities will include configuring, monitoring, and optimizing these tools, as well as collaborating with the wider security team to integrate additional security solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security protocols across the Microsoft security suite, including Defender and Intune.
  • Implement and monitor advanced threat protection measures and respond to security incidents.
  • Integrate other security products to create a comprehensive defence strategy, ensuring compatibility and optimal performance.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, and risk analysis.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging threats, recommending updates to security architecture as needed.
  • Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to ensure alignment with security best practices and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Microsoft security tools and familiarity with security products like Palo Alto, Cisco, or Sophos.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Relevant certifications (eg, Microsoft Certified Security Operations Analyst, CompTIA Security+, CISSP) are a plus.

This role is ideal for an individual who can leverage their Microsoft security expertise while adapting to a multi-vendor security environment.
