Role Type: 12 Month contract with extension

Position: Onsite

IO Associates seeks a Build Inspector for the Stevenage site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. This role offers a chance to contribute to innovative projects within a dynamic team shaping the future of aviation and space systems.

Role overview

  • Assist in managing local non-conformances and reports for Spacecraft Production.
  • Initiate and oversee Occurrence Reports, ensuring complete implementation.
  • Verify technician training and compliance with skill Matrix.
  • Authorized to halt work on specific builds.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hardware inspections at key production stages, including visual, measurement, and electrical testing.
  • Provide specialized technical advice to the Spacecraft Production team on quality control matters.
  • Assist in decision-making processes for incident severity and go/no-go determinations.
  • Review and ensure technical integrity of Spacecraft Production work instructions, offering support for error corrections if needed.

Skills

  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and adaptability to essential skills and experiences within manufacturing, alongside valued experience in quality roles.
  • Brings 2 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing operations.
  • Possesses expertise in composite/carbon and/or electrical testing methods.
  • Committed to quality improvement initiatives, with strong attention to detail in reporting and proficiency in using digital tools and tablets.
