Architect/ETL/Hybrid/Switzerland/English speaking (Contract)
Location: Geneva, Switzerland Country: Switzerland Rate: 400 - 630 CHF pd
 

Endeavour Recruitment has an excellent hybrid contract opportunity to join a leading organisation in Switzerland.

Initial 6-month contract with possible extension.

To start ASAP.

Rates:

  • Onsite: 630 CHF per day
  • Remote: 400 CHF per day

Essential skills:

  • At least 5 years with data processing, image format conversion, XML processing and transformation, PDF processing and generation
  • A least 5 years designing, developing, and implementing ETL processes.
  • At least 5 years implementing APIs and microservices to enable communication between different components.
  • Experience with RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL and Oracle

Desirable skills:

  • Experience with RDBMS, such as PostgreSQL and Oracle
  • Certified AWS Solution Architect, including use of related AWS.
  • technologies (egSNS/SQS, S3, Lambda, RDS)
  • At least 3 years leading a team of developers.
  • Experience working with a diverse group (business and IT) of stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English

Objectives:

  • The standard Architect will work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analysist during the Review and Design stage to ensure a complete appreciation of the current ETL solution to correctly design a replacement ETL solution.
  • The standard Architect will follow standard CLIENT development practices, including activity tracking with JIRA, CICD pipeline usage and alignment with CLIENT Cloud architectures and practice

Duties:

  • Work closely with business team to fully understand the requirements.
  • Review the as-is and to-be documentation and perform a gap analysis.
  • Coordinate with other areas of the client to ensure alignment of solutions with client practices.
  • Create technical specifications and diagrams: system design documents, process flows and data models.
  • Lead and guide development team to ensure that the new ETL solution aligns with the business requirements.
  • Lead software testing (manual and automated).
  • Contribute to required operational and support documentation.

Deliverables:

  • A detailed solution design of the ETL replacement solution.
  • A fully redesigned data processing workflow application, satisfying the requirements as specified.
  • Required architectural, operational and support documentation as specified.
