Theatre Practitioner

37.5 hours per week

The role
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate practitioner, providing high quality current care throughout the perioperative environment. You will have experience in one/two of the following disciplines, Scrub or Anaesthetics and Recovery. Scrub experience is essential in elective Orthopaedics and/or elective Ophthalmology.
You'll also have access to the Ramsay Academy, with potential to gain your SFA qualification, and the chance to develop your career across our 30+ network of independent hospitals across the UK. Where you'll be based
The Cherwell Hospital was purpose built in 2006 and has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands.
We have three laminar air flow theatres and a newly built Ophthalmology suite housing a Surgicube. It is a 40-bed inpatient unit and day-case facility predominantly specialising in Orthopaedic and Ophthalmology Surgery.
The Cherwell Hospital is part of the Ramsay Health Care group and provides clinical care to private, insured and NHS patients.
What you'll bring with you
NMC/HCPC Registered
Previous Orthopaedic and/or Ophthalmic Scrub. And/or Anaesthetics & Recovery experience essential.
Surgical First Assist Qualification (SFA) is desirable, but not essential
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
A passion for delivering an excellent patient-focus service
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Demonstrated computer skills
