Salary: £95 - £120 per Day

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a supportive school in Newcastle.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the continuity of education by stepping in to cover classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise and manage classes during teacher absences.
• Ensure students remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-set work provided by the absent teacher.
• Support students with their learning, answering any questions related to the lesson.
• Report any issues or concerns to the school leadership team.

To be a successful Cover Supervisor, you need:

• Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and confidence in supervising groups of students.
• Ability to deliver lesson plans and keep students engaged in their learning.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
• A genuine interest in working as a Cover Supervisor and helping students succeed.
• A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
