Data Analyst - SQL/Front Office - sought by leading investment bank based in Canary Wharf - Contract - London - Hybrid

*inside IR35 - umbrella*

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead technical projects that deliver Front Office analytics and tooling to the business to support management of capital.
• Own the end to end delivery from a high level brief/problem statement provided by the Business or Senior Project Manager.
• Use independent critical thinking and data analysis to break the problem down into key deliverables and work with Technology and Quant teams to agree a solution and delivery plan.
• Maintain a hands-on approach to project delivery, working on a daily basis with technical teams to ensure requirements are understood, correctly implemented and delivered to plan.
• Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Business, Quant and Technology teams
• Identify challenges and proactively seek to resolve or escalate risks and issues in a timely and well-articulated manner to the projects by engaging relevant stakeholders and PMs
• Engage senior stakeholders continuously by escalating and resolving issues as they arise

Skills Required:

• Experience working with large datasets/relational databases and using SQL/Object Oriented programming languages to analyse and manipulate data
• Ability to demonstrate understanding of software delivery life cycle and to coordinate end to end delivery across teams
• Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to engage, inform and persuade senior stakeholders through discussion and presentations.
• Self-starting with the ability to multitask, prioritize and proactively seek out teams and individuals across the organisation to help unblock issues
