An exciting position is available for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a respected asset management company with a global footprint. This role supports a company recognised for its commitment to excellence and growth, with offices in multiple financial hubs worldwide.
About the Role: In this role, you'll design, implement, and manage high-performing infrastructure systems that prioritize security, reliability, and scalability. You will play a vital part in developing resilient network architecture and will manage both on-premises and cloud-based environments. This position involves overseeing security protocols, mentoring junior team members, and leading key infrastructure projects.
Core Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Strategy: Design and manage infrastructure solutions across both cloud and physical platforms, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Network Security: Maintain network security and efficient connectivity across global offices, managing key infrastructure elements like perimeter and edge security.
- Cybersecurity Oversight: Apply industry-standard security practices to protect data and applications; conduct regular assessments and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Contribute to disaster recovery and data protection planning, supporting robust backup solutions and participating in ongoing testing.
- Team Leadership & Support: Provide mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.
Key Skills and Experience Needed:
- 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, ideally within financial services or asset management.
- Expertise in identity management (SSO, MFA, RBAC) and experience with Microsoft platforms, including Office 365, Azure, Hyper-V, and VMware.
- Proficiency in deploying and managing cloud workloads, with a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Familiarity with asset management technologies, Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python), and experience with Citrix DaaS, Firewall management, Microsoft SCOM, or SCCM.
