Laboratory Technician - Material Sciences

Location: Cambridge (CB3) Duration: Permanent Hours: 36.5 per week (Monday to Friday) Salary: 32,300 - 38,000 Job Reference: 35474 Polytec are looking for a Laboratory Technician in Material Sciences for our client based in Cambridge. You will manage an annual budget for maintenance, repair and expansion of the laboratory and equipment. Responsibilities: Maintain laboratory operations ensuring full potential is achieved Engage with users to identify future needs Develop specialised processes and depositions, conduct experiments and analyse and interpret results Offer highly specialist technical advice Ensure safety regulations are followed, conducting risk assessments Design and maintain laboratory databases for audit purposes Requirements: Practical experience with materials deposition and processing technologies Experience with vacuum technology Specialist knowledge of health and safety regulations and practice Good IT skills High degree of precision and accuracy Excellent communication and organisational skills Good numerical skills Knowledge in materials deposition and processing technology Degree level qualification or equivalent level of practical experience Weekend/out-of-hours work may be required for emergency repair and maintenance Please contact us ASAP for more details or apply below!
