Shirley Parsons are excited to partner with a leading electrical and solar installation company based out of the Southwest, with sites across the UK. This role will be well-suited to health and safety professionals with a proven success record in leading a team and supporting in the creation and implementation of HSE Strategy. This appointment will have 4 direct reports who are working on a regional basis to cover the UK, therefore the Group Health and Safety Manager will be in a good position to support with strategic responsibilities along with training and mentoring.

The Group Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Reviewing key areas of H&S risks for the company and implementing processes to reduce these risks, gaining buy in from key decision-makers
- Taking every opportunity to implement best practice, based on knowledge gained through reading articles and reports and attendance at meetings and events
- Monitoring and interpreting changes to legislation and leading on the implementation of cost-effective solutions that ensure the company remains compliant
- Leading the health and safety team (day-to-day line management, target setting and performance monitoring)

The Group Helath and Safety Manager will have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate - minimum
- Working towards CMIOSH
- People management skills and ability to coach and develop other H&S professionals
- A self-driven and results-oriented attitude
