Experienced Industrial Maintenance Engineer Needed

Leading manufacturer of high-precision optics and accessories is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for maximizing production time at their manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform hands-on mechanical and some electrical repairs on various industrial machines
  • Operate manual lathes, mills, and drills to create bespoke tools and components
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults and create specialized components as needed
  • Manage related supplies and equipment
  • Assist with building maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing/production environment
  • Experience as a manual machinist
  • Knowledge of applicable health and safety standards
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
