Gas Engineer - Immediate start - Gas Safe - Maintenance - £20.82 PAYE Premium/£24.41 Umbrella

Your new companyOur client, based in Sheffield, requires a gas engineer to perform maintenance work on a temporary basis. Rates will be £20.82 per hour PAYE premium (£18.58 Basic) or £24.41 per hour Umbrella.
Your new role

Your new role will be working as a Senior Gas Officerwithin the Sheffield area, working for a commercial organisation.

Duties andResponsibilities

Oversee and support the day-to-day work of Investment Assistants & Business Support staff

Assist with the training of staff;

Being responsible for effective consultation and communication, both formally and informally, with tenants, contractors, elected members and colleagues. This may also include liaising with emergency services, HSE and the Environmental Agency and other external stakeholders,

Attendance, reporting too and active participation at but not limited to local project groups, working groups, progress meetings,

Undertaking the first stage reviews, appeals, implementation of the complaints procedure, including replies to elected members and other bodies, as associated with service delivery,

Undertaking the role of active client and delivery of contract administration within a partnership environment, including scheme preparation and contract administration duties including but not limited to, testing and defect inspections, property handovers and quality assurance processes as defined by Sheffield City Council.

Demonstrate a knowledge, understanding and practical application of but not limited to all areas of Construction health and safety, Construction, Design and Management Regulations, asbestos management/awareness, building regulations and working practices.

Undertake inspections and surveys, prepare, produce and present technical and non-technical reports and designs including the making of recommendations and remedial actions.

Effective operation of IT systems and contribute towards their improvement;

The above responsibilities may require attendance at meetings outside normal office hours

Work closely with Neighbourhood Management Teams to help ensure that local intelligence effectively informs programmes of work

Liaise as required with other teams within the Housing and Neighbourhoods Service to help ensure joined-up approach to asset management within our neighbourhoods.

The role is to startASAP and is for 3-4 Months Temp and then you can apply to go perm with them.

The rate is £20.82PAYE - £24.41 UMB.

What you'll get in return
You will be providedwith a van and fuel to use during work hours, as well as power tools. You mustbe able to collect/return from the city centre depot, where uniform will alsobe provided. Weekly pay.
