Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Respiratory Care/Per Diem

POSITION SUMMARY: Assesses,administers, monitors and provides therapy and objectivemeasurement for respiratory care procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Successfulcompletion of a CoARC accredited respiratory care program forregistered respiratory therapists.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSES:Possesses and provides an active New Mexico Respiratory CarePractitioner (RCP) license and is in "good standing" with allregulatory agencies. The practitioner may not be eligible foremployment or continued employment if there are restrictions ordisciplinary proceedings pending. Provides documentation of theNBRC's RRT credential. Possesses and provides proof of the minimumcertification of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American HeartAssociation. Additional ACLS, PALS and NRP certifications arepreferred. The employee is responsible for maintaining all licensesand certifications throughout the duration of employment.

SKILLS: Manualdexterity to provide respiratory therapy and operateequipment.

EXPERIENCE: Experience in all age-specific competency groupspreferred.

NATURE OF SUPERVISION:

-Responsibleto: Manager of Respiratory Therapy Center

ENVIRONMENT:

• Bloodborne pathogen -C
• Routine exposure to aerosolor serum-borne pathogens.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and manualdexterity.
