About the u nit This unit is a 16-bed cardiovascular/cardiothoracic care unit. This unit's primary specialty is post-open heart/CABG patients . Post-op CABG patients will recover in the ICU for 2-3 days. The patient population will include cardiac procedure requiring ICU level care, o pen-heart patients direct from the OR, vascular surgery, thoracic surgery, TAVR procedure, and STEMI intervention.
